In anticipation of a heavy tournament schedule, we would like to emphasise that the start time for the Opening Ceremony & Cultural Concert is at 11am sharp.
Participants and supporters visiting Wellington are advised to book their flights with this start time in mind.
Cultural Show:
The Tournament Cultural Show will be held straight after the opening ceremony at the Arena.
This year's cultural show will follow the same format as that of the 2009 Easter Tournament in Christchurch. We've called it:
The 2010 Easter Tournament will begin with an Opening Ceremony and Cultural Show in the style of popular television show "America's Got Talent". All branches are invited to submit entries, with the following provisions :
The theme will be past, present future
There will be 3 categories:

Multi-media
- May be filmed on any device, as long as the resulting movie file can:
- Be played using Windows Media Player (eg.avi, mpg format)
- Short film on any theme or style (as long as it is tasteful and in the spirit of the Tournament)
- Maximum 3 minutes allowed (including titles and credits)
- May be subject to censorship if deemed distasteful or objectionable by the organisers
Entry must be submitted to the organizer on CD-ROM / USB by 19 March 2010

Dance/Music
- Can be any kind of live dancing and/or musical performance (solo or group)
- Music for dancers must be able to be played on a CD, tape, Windows Media Player or
- Performed live on musical instruments that the performers must provide themselves (except piano)
- Maximum 3 minutes allowed
- Footwear worn must be non-marking shoes, no street shoes.

Open
- Anything other than Categories (1) and (2) e.g. ventriloquist, juggling, magician, comedian, tricks or any other talent.
- Solo or group
- Any special equipment must be provided by the performers themselves
- Maximum 3 minutes allowed
- Footwear worn must be non-marking shoes, no street shoes.
Each Branch may enter a maximum of ONE ITEM PER CATEGORY.
Branches should hold their own heats for selecting their best entry for each category.
Information for Performers:
Please advise your contingent co-ordinator if you will require a piano or an instrument that isn't easily transportable.
A briefing will be held for performers at 10:00am on site at the Arena.
Please advise your contingent co-ordinator if you are not able to make the 10:00am briefing so that alternate arrangements can be made to brief you.
