A sports tournament and cultural event for Chinese is held each year during the Easter Weekend. Some of the sports competed in are basketball, volleyball, touch rugby, netball, lawn bowls and golf.
The Tournament is held annually on a rotational basis in Wellington, Dunedin, Auckland and Christchurch.

The New Zealand Chinese Association is a national organisation with over 80 years of uninterrupted history, comprising of 14 branches throughout New Zealand.
It represents the interests of both long-established and new Chinese migrant groups.
